Mini STEM Symposium for K-5 Educators

August 17th, 2021 | 9am to 3pm

This year the STEM Hub is hosting a Mini STEM Symposium for Oregon K-5 educators in conjunction with the 2021-22 Elementary STEAM Leader kickoff.

Who's invited: current members of the STEAM Leaders cohort, teachers who are interested in joining the cohort next year, and any K-5 educator teaching in Hood River, Wasco, Gilliam, Sherman, or Wheeler county who would like to join and learn for the day.

What's included: this Mini STEM Symposium will be a one-day PD session on integrating STEM and science into core content. It will include a time to learn about favorite resources from fellow educators and connect with colleagues in the Gorge. The event is tentatively scheduled to happen remotely, with hands-on activities you'll receive in the mail.

Compensation: $200 for participating for the day, plus PDUs.
